The iconic NYstudents’ airport pick-up event is back, with a huge upgrade!
This year, in partnership with official Chinese students organizations from NYU, NYU Tandon, Pace University, Pratt Institute of Art, Fordham University, The New School/Parsons, New York Institute of Technology, New York Fashion Institute, New York School of Visual Arts as well as the China Telecom Americas, we will launch the first free pick-up event for Chinese international students starting to study in New York.
If you are a freshman going to study in NYC in the fall of 2019, and your flight from China to New York City is in line with our free pick-up requirements (see Q&A), congratulations, you can enjoy a pick-up service, free on us!

Scan the QR code on the left or search for the WeChat ID NYstudents-service inside the WeChat app. After completing the registration form, you need to double check with her pre-departure, as well as your optional China Telecom’s US SIM card, etc. In another word, add her, right now!

STEP3: April 5th – June 30th: DOUBLE CHECK with us
We will count the information of the applicants, add your WeChat friends, verify your registration information, and ensure that nothing is missing. At the same time, the applicant is required to send an offer scan to prove that he is a legitimate freshman this year, to ensure the safety of the pick-up activities. After confirming your new status, we will also send the landing page for China Mobile CTExcel first-month $1 package phone card promotion and referral code (with this code, after registration&activation you’d receive 10 US dollars in your account balance). Through this page, China Telecom will send this US SIM card to your domestic address inside China.
STEP4: July 1st – July 30th: Confirm destination before departure
After you have bought the ticket, you need to confirm with us the exact time of the pick-up and the place of delivery (recommended to confirm the information 15 days before boarding).After sending the offer scan to our customer service WeChat account, you will receive a separate confirmation form link, fill in the accurate pick-up information at this time [Include: US phone, time, airport, flight number, delivery address, etc.] Fill in the specific flight Information and baggage quantity, our staff will confirm with you after receiving the information.

Q: HOW CAN I BECOME QUALIFIED TO GET THIS FREE AIRPORT PICK-UP OFFER?
A: First of all, you have to be a international student in the freshman year going to study in New York City this fall, and your flight to NYC short originate from China and arrive at either LGA or JFK Airport from 9 am to 6 pm (Eastern time) between August 15th to 25th.
Secondly, the destinations of our free pick-up service are limited to locations within:
Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island City (Non Long Island), Roosevelt Island, Queens (farth to Flushing), Bronx (farth to Rosehill), Newport (New Jersey)
The above areas contain common housing areas for international students from all major universities.
Only when you meet the above two conditions at the same time, we can provide a free pick-up service for you.
If there are other areas, we can also drop off at the discretion of the opportunity, please contact our customer service to ask for specific offers.
Q: IS IT REALLY FREE TO get PICKed UP in tHIS event? WHO will pay?
A: Yes. All vehicle expenses of this event will be provided by the NYstudents, the OSSC’s NYC branch. Each students organization will dispatch the on-site volunteers to complete the on-site pick-up according to the actual situation. As our partner, China Telecom Americas will provide 10,000 US mobile phone cards for each new student. One can apply for one at the time of registration.
It should be noted that our pick-up activities are only free for the new students (once), and the parents and friends of the new students, we can not provide free pick-up, so you need to inform you of the total number of pick-ups when you sign up, we Additional entourage will be served at the preferential price of the paid student service at the International Student Network.
Q: WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR EVENT REGISTRATION?
A: At 11:59 pm on June 30th, Beijing time , our registration will stop. Confirmation of STEP2 before this time is considered as successful registration.
Q: WHAT KIND OF CAR IS USED FOR PICK-UP ACTIVITIES, IS IT FORMAL?
A: The team has professional TLC licenses.
Models include: Sedan, a small five-seat car that can take 1-2 people, can hold up to two large checked baggage and two small boarding cases; Minivan, large seven-seater, can take 4-6 people, up to eight Large checked baggage and six small boarding racks; Shuttle, bus, can take 10-15 people, can put up to 20 large checked baggage and 12 small boarding chassis.
Q: WHAT OTHER THINGS SHOULD I CARE ABOUT FOR MY STAY IN NYC?
A: You can check the ‘2019 New York Freshmen Guide’ after filling the registration information. The electronic version guide will be issued to the new students before you come to the US.
Q: WHAT IF THE TICKET IS NOT WITHIN THE SPECIFIED ACTIVITY TIME? IS THERE A FREE PICK-UP?
A: If the final landing time of your ticket is outside the above time, in principle, you can’t enjoy the free pick-up. You can also apply for it. On the day of registration, you can consult the international student service staff. We will follow the preferential service price of the NYstudents.
Q: CAN THE REGISTRATION FORM REGISTER FOR MORE THAN ONE FRESHMAN?
A: The real-name registration will be carried out for this pick-up event. The back-office service personnel will check the identity and offer of each student and assign a unique ID to be used for specific flight docking. Therefore, if there are other freshmen who meet the free machine conditions, please fill out the form separately , our service staff will contact you as soon as possible to assign the identification code.
